Buttons, Buttons & More Buttons

Here we are again, meeting on another Tuesday!  I can't believe that we are half way through September already!  The kiddos had their first full week of school last week, and I think we are slowly settling into routine once again.

Today I'd like to share with you our current challenge over at Twist of Faith Card Challenges!  Are you ready....it's Buttons! Now I have a confession to make...I am a button addict!  There, I've said it!  If I could I would put a button on every card I made!  LOL  So this challenge just appealed to me right off the hop...I could rummage through all of my buttons and get my creativity flowing.  Before we go any further though, let me give a quick shout out for our sponsor this week which is...

One lucky random winner will receive 5 images of their choice!

I had some fun playing with the image entitled "Bella da Snowlady".  I used my Silhouette Cameo to manipulate the image so that I was able to flip it and have it facing the other direction as well.  I then sized them to three different sizes to be able to create a group of "snow ladies".  I was then able to print out the images and fussy cut them by hand.  I had fun coloring the images while we were on our last camping trip and let my kids select the snow ladies clothing colors.  The images have been colored with my Tim Holtz Distress Markers. The background paper is navy in color and I have rounded the corners with my corner punch.  The vellum which has been layered over the background paper has been embossed with a snowflake embossing folder, and the centre snow lady has been mounted on the card with pop up dots.  I used Glitter Ritz on the images to give them that fresh snow sparkling effect and applied some snowflake stickers in the background.
And then came the buttons....he, he, he!

See...I told you I love buttons.  I decided to make the snow on the ground completely out of buttons! And then added a few more to some of the falling snowflake stickers in the air.  A tad over done...maybe...but I sure did have fun looking for just the right buttons to layer one on top of the other!

Here's a closer look at the cute image...

As for my uplifting or encouraging sentiment....here's a look at the inside of the card!

So I hope I have inspired you to look through your stash of buttons and join in the fun this week at Twist of Faith!  Use lots of buttons, or just a few...the choice is up to you!  Check out the other DT creations as they have been creative with buttons this week as well!   Just remember to link up with us for a chance to win the super prize...and don't forget about the "twist" of including a positive, encouraging, uplifting sentiment or scripture!  I can hardly wait to see how you use buttons...and maybe find a few more addicts like myself!

Until next time...

This card has been entered in the following challenges...

Crafting When We Can..."Seasons" - winter
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas..."Cut It"
Winter Wonderland..."Frosty the Snowman"
