Vintage Eye Candy

Welcome Back!
As you are reading this I will be having a blast at our local scrapbooking crop! It is hosted by our local craft store owner...and she goes all out!  We are always treated to fine food, fantastic gifts, awesome demonstrations and lots of visiting with friends!  It's gonna be a great weekend!  And, it's my last kick at the cat to add to my craft sale card stash as the sale is quickly approaching!

For this blog post I would like to share with you a card that was created using the following inspirational photo over at {The Lollipop Ladies}!

One of my absolute favorites....yummy, yummy JuJubes!  And our twist for this challenge is "Vintage"!  Oh, two of my favorite things combined!

Let's take a look at how I combined both these passions of mine...

The majority of the colors in the JuJubes photo have been represented in this card...with the exception of the black or purple (But I don't eat those and always pick them out and try to pawn them off on someone else...so it makes sense they weren't included, right?  LOL)  The colors are just slightly more muted and delicate...which to me represents vintage.  The gorgeous roses and tea cup just remind me of days gone by.  This entire card has actually been created with one piece of designer paper from the Prima Delight collection!  If you're looking for beautiful vintage paper to work with...this is it!  I've fussy cut some of the elements from the paper collection and adhered them to the corner of the card.  As a last little detail, I've added Glitter Ritz to the large rose in the tea cup...just like sugar on a JuJube!  And of course, all paper has been inked around the edges with a brown ink to give it that aged effect!  Nothing too complicated!

I hope I've inspired you to play along with us for this challenge!  We are once again sponsored by

who are offering our winner their choice of 3 of her M4M digi stamps!  (Thanks Sammi!)
Prize will only be offered if 7 or more entries partake in the challenge.
And don't forget about the Guest Design Team positions that will be awarded!
So grab the photo...maybe some real jubes to taste the inspiration...and get creating!  Then, don't forget to link up on the sidebar so our team can come for a visit at your blog!

It's nice to be able to make a card from just the one sheet. Yours looks fabulous.
